Jane is a contact tracer. She has to call a lot of people and some of them don’t want to talk. Various reasons – tax or immigration issues, infidelity. Domestic abuse. Jane knows all about that. She and her daughter Tara have spent years in hiding from Tara’s manipulative and terrifying ex. Now, as Jane talks to a close contact, she realises the woman on the phone is scared of the same man – and he’s close. Too close. Suddenly the past comes slamming back into the present as Jane realises she and Tara can’t keep running forever. One day, they’re going to be found.

作者简介

Catherine Jinks is the Australian author of many award-winning and internationally recognised books for adults, young adults and kids, written in a wide range of genres. Her body of writing encompasses more than 30 titles and she has garnered many awards, including the CBCA Book of the Year Award, the Aurealis Award for Science Fiction and the Davitt Award for Crime Fiction. She has been writing books since she was eight years old – and doesn't expect to stop writing them anytime soon.

Jennifer Vuletic is an Australian actress, singer and NIDA graduate from the class of 1984. She has enjoyed a varied career travelling all over Australia and the world, and has toured internationally with the hit show Mamma Mia!, playing the role of Tanya. She also performed in Menopause The Musical, The Women of Troy and Jerry Springer: The Opera. She has recorded audiobooks for over 24 years and has won numerous awards for her narrations, including the Trish Trinick Award for Arundhati Roy's The God of Small Things.
