A recipient of the Bronze Star and an Army Commendation Medal with Valor, Darren Shadix served in the U.S. Army for seven years. He fought in Korengal Valley, Kunar Province, Afghanistan, in Operation Enduring Freedom VIII. Visit him at darrenshadix.com.
