Whilst living in Echuca, Philadelphia Gordon has developed a strong attachment to the river, and a fascination for paddle steamers. When she becomes the owner of a paddle steamer she wishes that she had been born a male and not bound by the conventions society imposes upon females. Nancy Cato (1917–2000) spent her working life in the literary field – as a poet, novelist and reporter on an Adelaide daily paper. In 1984 she was made a member of the Order of Australia.
Kate Hosking is an Australian performer who has been narrating audiobooks for over 20 years. Her titles range from teenage fiction to adult non-fiction and everything in between. She is a musician, theatre performer and educator.
