Sobre este audiolivro

More than a century after L. Frank Baum first released this magical tale of a young girl, Brooke Shields entrances a new generation of young listeners with her narration of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Dorothy thinks she is lost forever when a terrifying tornado crashes through Kansas and whisks her
and her dog, Toto, far away to the magical land of Oz. To get home Dorothy must follow the yellow brick road to Emerald City and ask for help from the mysterious Wizard of Oz. Together with her companions the Tin Woodman, the Scarecrow, and the Cowardly Lion whom she meets along the way, Dorothy embarks on a strange and enchanting adventure.

This edition includes L. Frank Baum’s original introduction to the story, read by the actor Paul Rudd.

Sobre o autor

L. FRANK BAUM  was born on May 15, 1856, in Chittenango, New York. He grew up on a country estate called 'Rose Lawn', his father having made a fortune. As an adult, he worked in the theatre, newspapers, and magazines, manufactured an axel grease, managed a general store, and raised chickens! In 1900, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz was published and became an overnight success. Two years later a musical of the book was produced on stage with Baum writing the lyrics.  Baum wrote 13 Oz books and nine other fantasies. More authors contributed to the Oz series, making a total of 40! The famous movie starring Judy Garland came out in 1939, 20 years after Baum's death in 1919.
