Twins Anna and Lotte Bamberg are born in Cologne but orphaned and separated when they are five. While Lotte is taken in by Dutch relatives, Anna is raised by her grandfather in rural poverty. Tessa de Loo became a successful writer in her home country, The Netherlands, with her debut in 1983, The Girls from the Candy Factory. However, it was her novel The Twins that established her as one of the most successful writers in the Dutch language.
Edwina Wren is an Australian actress and voice-over artist who has appeared on the television series Neighbours and in the films Canopy and Macbeth. She is a graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts. Wren is the award-winning narrator of works such as Geraldine Brooks’s New York Times bestselling audiobook People of the Book and The Glass House by Anne Buist and Graeme Simsion. She has narrated nearly 100 audiobooks.
