Author of numerous science fiction and fantasy stories, Abraham Merritt was a major inspiration for H. P. Lovecraft and Clark Ashton Smith. A. Merritt remains one of the most celebrated fantasists of all time. He was inducted into the Science Fiction and Fantasy Hall of Fame in 1999.
