In The Italian Quartet, Sara Marcello, a writer with roots in Italy, is invited to the island villa of Ugo and Olivia Bellini, two wealthy and worldly antiquarians. JANE CANDIA COLEMAN is an award-winning poet, novelist, and short fiction writer. She majored in creative writing at the University of Pittsburgh and, in 1981, became the Director of the Women's Creative Writing Center at Carlow College in Pittsburgh.
