Crawford Memorial Fantasy Award, presented by the International Association for the Fantastic in the Arts, for The Black Jewels Trilogy. She is the author of the Novels of the Others series and The World of the Others series.

Actor Erik Synnestvedt has recorded close to two hundred audiobooks for the Library of Congress Talking Books for the Blind program, as well as for trade publishers.
