Nicola Rayner was born in Abergavenny, south Wales, and works as a freelance writer and editor. The Girl Before You, her first novel, was picked by the Observer as a debut to look out for in 2019. Nicola is also the author of The Paris Dancer, a work of historical fiction. She lives in London with her husband.
