The Apology of Socrates

Plato is one of the towering figures in Western philosophy, whose works have significantly shaped the course of intellectual history. The Apology of Socrates is a philosophical text detailing the speech Socrates gives during his trial in 399 BC in Athens for charges of corrupting the youth and impiety (not believing in the gods of the state and introducing new deities).
