Jez was born in Kingston upon Thames in 1959. He went to art school in Norwich and then set about entering the competitive world of childrenâs books.
Jez was runner-up for the 1985 Mother Goose Award with his first book, âBare Bearâ. He has now written and illustrated more than thirty childrenâs books, including âDuck in a Truckâ, âWhereâs My Teddy?â and âHugâ.
Jez lives in London with his Danish wife.
