When I was 18 years old, I learned two things about myself. After taking a theater arts course at community college, I decided I wanted to make acting my career. Almost simultaneously, I learned that I am bisexual. While at cast party for “The Matchmaker,” I’d been doing a bit of drinking and suddenly found myself being pulled into a dark room with a pair of lips pressed against mine. Once I completed my two-year degree, I decided to head to New York City. New York meant Broadway, contacts, a better theater school, auditions – the ticket to the career I yearned for. It also meant my first roommate, Jenny, another theater student and my second girl-girl relationship.
