In a kingdom at war, Tara uses her magic as a compass to hunt for a sanctuary. Her quest leaves little time for learning social niceties, but the number of soldiers who attack her for no apparent reason is getting ridiculous.
Finally, a woman takes pity and invites Tara into her home. What Tara learns there may explain why her own countrymen have sought her blood.
How can she find a land of peace in a kingdom warring against its neighbors AND itself? And if such a place does exist, how can she accept shelter while others suffer persecution?
