關於本有聲書

Take a seat in the court of ancient Athens as Socrates goes on trial for his life. Hear the philosopher face his accusers with his trademark wit, his cutting logic, and the courage of his ideals. Consider his arguments on virtue, justice, politics, civic duty, love of life, and hope in death, and make your own judgment.

Think. Question. Change.

關於作者

Plato (c. 427–347 BC) stands with Socrates and Aristotle as one of the shapers of the whole intellectual tradition of the West. He founded in Athens the Academy, the first permanent institution devoted to philosophical research and teaching, and the prototype of all Western universities.

Yannis Simonides is a Yale Drama School–trained actor and writer and Emmy-winning documentary producer. Born in Constantinople and raised in Athens, he is also the founder and director of the Greek Theater (Elliniko Theatro) in New York and has been performing The Apology of Socrates all over the world since 2004.
