Passengers—combatants from both sides of the war—are waking up from hibernation far too soon. Their memories, embedded in bullets, are the only links to a world which is no longer recognizable. And Scur will be reacquainted with her old enemy but with much higher stakes than just her own life.

Born in Barry, South Wales, Alastair Reynolds studied at Newcastle University and the University of St. Andrews. A former astrophysicist for the European Space Agency, he now writes full-time. He is the author of many short stories and twelve novels, including Chasm City, winner of the British Science Fiction Association Award for Best Novel, and House of Suns.
Susan Duerden, an Audie Award-winning audiobook narrator, has won multiple AudioFile Earphones Awards for her work. Susan's career spans film, television, voice-over, and animation. She has played critically acclaimed, award-winning theatrical roles internationally, including in London's West End and Off-Broadway.
