Simon Sebag Montefiore is an internationally bestselling author and historian whose prize-winning books have been published in forty-eight languages. Catherine the Great and Potemkin was shortlisted for the Samuel Johnson Prize. Stalin: The Court of the Red Tsar won the British Book Awards History Book of the Year Prize. Ayesha Dharker made her screen debut in a 1989 François Villiers film. She subsequently went on to star in many American, French and Indian films. She has had numerous television roles in the UK, particularly in Cutting It and Life Isn't All Ha Ha Hee Hee. Her most internationally recognised role was when she acted as Queen Jamillia in Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones. Ayesha also starred in the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical Bombay Dreams, both in London's West End and on Broadway. In 2008 she played the role of Tara Mandal in the British soap opera Coronation Street. Ayesha also narrated the audiobook of Monica Ali's Brick Lane in 2003, to great acclaim.
Samuel West, the son of Timothy West and Prunella Scales, has appeared in films ranging from Notting Hill to Iris, on television in Persuasion and Prince Caspian and on stage (including an acclaimed Hamlet for the RSC). Radio work includes The Merchant of Venice, Poetry Please and Richard II (as Richard). Sam has read numerous audiobooks, including The King of Middlemarch and At the Crossing Places for Orion Audio.
