Kristina Truly is a smart, modern woman, who can’t resist a cute pair of shoes. She’s a highly sought-after relationship expert, despite her own lapse in judgment when it comes to dating men.

After three women are found murdered, FBI Agent, Detective Jakes discovers one common link—they’ve all attended Kristina’s relationship workshops. His challenge is making sure Kristina is not the next victim. Catching a serial killer and keeping Kristina safe is tough enough, but when he starts having romantic feelings for her, it takes surveillance to a new level.

Kristina is shocked to find out she’s in the middle of a murder investigation, and there’s a chance she’s the killer’s next target. But her inability to trust men, after her father left when she was eight years old, only complicates Detective Jakes’s job. But after she’s kidnapped by the serial killer, trusting that Detective Jakes will find her is the only hope she has.

Loved this fast-paced thriller. The FMC is witty, smart, and helpful to others while fighting her own demons. There were twists and turns that kept you guessing from a few chapters in. The side characters were so loveable and added great warmth and laughter to this story. I thought I had it figured out, but I was so wrong, and I loved that.I can't wait to read the rest of the books in this series.

This one was just a little too much. Some of the descriptions went into excessive detail (food?? instructions??) and some of the procedural stuff was way too contrived, to the point of silly. St as Ted with it to the end because I was driving, but it definitely seems yo have missed the mark.

There's alot of characters both good and bad who, you can feel the life and emotions of each characters despite how people can be perceived as strong everyone has their demons some more vile than others. The story is emotional, funny, dark and just you're overall everyday life of what going in the world without us realizing until you see the news or find an article on some crime hard to believe but true. There's alot more to write about the story i recommend pay very close attention to every character and feel, think and or observe what they feel and you will probably find something you can either relate or have witness yourself IRL. Im bad at reviews so bare with me. I finished the book twice BTW all under a week!! Sharmyn McGraw is a talented artist/author and friend i met on TikTok she's a kind and phenomenal person!!
