At the age of nine, Jin Xing entered a military academy. He knew that he had been born to dance and, in Mao's China, it was the army that provided the best training. His exceptional talent was soon recognised; by the time he was eighteen, he was regarded as the best principal dancer in China. He won a scholarship to study in the United States where he discovered a new world of contemporary dance, and made both a new identity and a decision that was to change his life - and would shake the whole of China: Jin Xing underwent a sex-change. He became a woman - and then a mother and, later, a wife. Jin Xing is a ballerina, modern dancer, choreographer and actress from the People's Republic of China, and owner of the contemporary dance company Shanghai Jin Xing Dance Theatre. She is one of the first few trans women officially recognized by the Chinese government.
Keith Brockett is a graduate of the National Theatre Drama School. His theatre credits include Chay Yew's Porcelain, Boyfriends from Hell, Still a Hero, The Yellow Peril, WAKING, Gift of The Gun and In Other Words. In 2007, Keith was awarded Best Male Actor for his role in Death by 1000 Cuts by Mika Tsoi in the Melbourne Short and Sweet Festival. Keith played Ky in the ABC TV comedy series The Librarians and appeared as Lee in the feature film Verite.
