Nineteen-year-old Kate Brady joined the army to bring honor to her family and democracy to the Middle East. Helen Benedict is a British American novelist and journalist, best known for her writings on social injustice and the Iraq War. Her background as a child of anthropologists informed her work both as a novelist and as a journalist. She has written numerous works of fiction and nonfiction, as well as articles for the New York Times, Washington Post, Nation, and BBC News.
Cassandra Campbell has recorded over one hundred audiobooks and directed many more. She has received eight Earphone Awards and has been nominated for an Audie Award. As an actress and director, she has worked off Broadway and in regional theaters across the country, as well as doing voice work on numerous commercials and films.
