About this audiobook

Millicent Wedgwood will never obtain her rightful place in Society, which means she will never have an advantageous reputation, marriage, or future. All because Millie's sister eloped years before. But there is a chance to rise above that disgrace. If she can win the trust of the baronet who insulted Lady Olivia, and then betray him, she will earn back her position in Society with Lady Olivia’s sponsorship.

Sir Isaac Fox returned from war with one less arm and a weight upon his soul. Where once he easily charmed Society, he now prefers to remain quietly alone at home. With a small estate to manage, Isaac is determined to be more responsible for those in his care and less foolhardy, which leaves no time for romance. Certainly no time for the infuriatingly enchanting Miss Wedgwood.

When Millie realizes her game has put her own heart in jeopardy, she risks losing everything she has so desperately sought to replace in her life. And though Isaac refuses Millie's advances, he cannot deny her charm. But falling for Miss Wedgwood would mean reentering society and losing the peace he has found since the war. Can they find a way to heal their hearts together? Or will Millie's deception ruin them both?

This is the fourth book in the Inglewood series and can be read as a stand alone, Sweet Regency Romance.

First of all, Marion Hussey was amazing as always. She does a great job with all the voices and her infection feels natural and brings the story to life. As for the story, Sally has another winner. It was a lot of fun getting to know Isaac better and see him go through his own love angst after watching his friends and loved ones do the same. Personally, I would have liked to see more of his fight with PTSD, but that's not the focus of the story so it all worked out. Milly is a good match for hi

I absolutely LOVED this sweet, clean and excellently written regency audiobook!!! The hero, Sir Isaac, is wonderfully warm and down-to-earth! And I was so very gratified that the heroine, Millie, who started the story as superficial and shallow finally recognizes what a treasure Sir Isaac is! And so happy that he has the courage to go after her! You will definitely want to hear this outstanding story!. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is an excellent series and this third book in the series is another great addition. The story is so well-written and engaging, with great characters. Anything written by this author is worth reading. This is a sweet and clean romance with no harsh language. The narrator has a lovely voice to listen to and her tone, enunciation, and volume were consistent and pleasant. She had subtle variations for characters. I very much enjoyed her narration.
