Srinivasa Ramanujan (1887–1920) was an Indian mathematician who made extraordinary contributions to mathematical analysis, number theory, infinite series, and continued fractions. Ramanujan's legacy continues to influence mathematics today, with numerous formulas and concepts bearing his name, and he remains an iconic figure in the history of mathematics.
