My employer is a major player in the retail industry. Based on my experience, it is evident that store operations begin with the supplier. Suppliers provide the essential inputs to the process, and my employer works with both external and internal suppliers. One example is our store brand, which is developed in a separate department and produced at a different location, directly competing with national supplier brands. This paper provides an overview of how a retail supply chain functions and explains why an effective supply chain is crucial for staying ahead of the competition. I hold an Associate Degree in Business Management Technology and am currently a senior pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management.
