About this audiobook

In 1943, Primo Levi, a twenty-five-year-old chemist and "Italian citizen of Jewish race," was arrested by Italian fascists and deported from his native Turin to Auschwitz. Survival in Auschwitz is Levi's classic account of his ten months in the German death camp, a harrowing story of systematic cruelty and miraculous endurance. Remarkable for its simplicity, restraint, compassion, and even wit, Survival in Auschwitz remains a lasting testament to the indestructibility of the human spirit.

Horrible audiobook. The audio and narration quality are the poorest I've ever heard. The narrator has a thick accent which makes understanding them quite difficult, the audio equipment is better in some chapters and worse in others. In the early chapters, the narrator can be heard clearing their throat(?), drinking, and blowing their nose, and the narrator loses their place on the page frequently. Like where's the editing?? Exquisite Voice Overs? Yeah right! Book is good tho.
