Kimberly Willis Holt is the author of Piper Reed, Navy Brat, also available on audio from Listening Library; several award-winning novels, including My Louisiana Sky; Keeper of the Night; and When Zachary Beaver Came to Town, which received the National Book Award, as well as the picture books Waiting for Gregory and Skinny Brown Dog. The daughter of a navy chief, Ms. Holt lived all over the world as a child, and now resides in West Texas with her family.
