David Almond is one of the most exciting children's writers of today and is an internationally bestselling author. In 2021 Almond was awarded an OBE for services to literature Almond lives in Northumberland.

Malcolm Hamilton is an actor and theatre maker, and Co-director of Mufti Games. Malcolm Worked with theatre companies including Bristol Old Vic, Theatre Alibi, Tobacco Factory, Uninvited Guests, Gabblebabble, Stand + Stare, The Criterion, Visible Fictions and the Arches. He appeared as Bily deBurgh in Closer Each Day – the improvised soap opera at the Wardrobe. He is a regular narrator of audiobooks and is often found in a silly commercial.
