Even on the dark days, birds still sing. Luke and his big brother Ben spend the summer on the banks of Cabbage Tree Creek. Quiet Luke sketches birds, while Ben leaps off the Jumping Tree. The boys couldn’t be more different, but they share a special bond. When a local competition to win a boat is announced, the brothers spring into action, dreaming of exploring the creek together. 저자 정보

Peter Carnavas’s career as a primary school teacher inspired him to embrace his passion for children’s literature. His picture book Blue Whale Blues won the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators Crystal Kite Award, and My Sister is a Superhero won an Australian Book Industry Award. The Elephant is Peter’s first novel. He lives on Australia’s Sunshine Coast with his family.

Jesse Vasiliadis is an Australian actor who received his training at WAAPA. Previous credits include WAAPA productions of King Lear, Samovila, Much Ado About Nothing and Wise Children, and short films Bi Bi Baby and Lens and Story. Jesse’s love of narrating and storytelling stems from a fascination with the human voice and its incredible versatility; allowing our imaginations to take us anywhere through its instrument-like nuance and precision.
