After being attacked by a serial killer, saved by Lokiâso-called god of mischief, lies, and chaosâdragged to Alfheim, losing every cent in her bank account, and caring for her grandmother, Amy Lewis has lost her scholarship to veterinary school. These three disparate characters have little in common, but they'll have to join forces to save earth from trolls, wyrms, frost giant invasions, and an old evil growing beneath Chicago's streets.

C. Gockel is the author of the I Bring the Fire fantasy series. An Internet professional, she has also worked as an English teacher in Japan, a science teacher for at-risk students in the inner city, a math tutor, a customer service rep, a medical illustrator, and an e-marketing specialist.
Barrie Kreinik is an actor, singer, and AudioFile Earphones Award-winning narrator based in New York City. She has narrated books in a wide variety of genres, and her performance work includes Off-Broadway and regional theater, film, cabaret, and concerts. Barrie holds an MFA in acting from Brown/Trinity Rep.
