About this audiobook

Debauched pop star Howie Howden has led a charmed life - there has been nothing a fat cheque, a non-disclosure agreement or a course of penicillin hasn't made go away. But a calamitous night on the town, with his troubled yet dutiful manager Eddy Katz, has consequences for both men. Does Howie's reputation as a 'ladies' man' conceal a darker truth? Will the tabloids continue to celebrate his out of control libido or is his luck finally running out? And what price will Eddy pay for his own ill-judged foray into the sleazy underbelly of the VIP lounge? Glitterballs is a deadly serious funny book about sexual predation in the music business.

About the author

Michele Howarth was born and raised in Liverpool and studied Fine Art at Leeds Polytechnic. She's had a long career as a sculptor which has been variously interrupted by caring for a poorly husband, stepchildren, aged parents and the Happy Mondays... She has exhibited with the Nicholas Treadwell Gallery for many years, but has also taken part in group shows at The White Cube, The Hepworth and the Saatchi galleries. In the 1990s she co-wrote `Grope', a play based on her time working in a dating agency. It subsequently became the subject of a BBC2 Video Diary - an experience she describes as so joyless and exploitative that it put her off writing for the next thirty years. GLITTERBALLS is her debut novel.
