In this second volume of A Couple Through Time, four interconnected stories trace the journey of Zoe, Tod, and their daughter Dianna through loss, awakening, and transformation.
In Down New River, a family retreat becomes a deeper encounter with dissociation, Indigenous memory, and the healing powers of place. In the Wild follows Zoe and Tod across Europe on a whimsical pact to do one wild thing in each country—until lighthearted adventures stir deeper emotions and reveal the wildness within. On the Mountain and Two Are Missing begins as a second honeymoon and unfolds into mystery, as a visionary quest blurs the boundary between life and death. Finally, in To the Beginning and Journey Through Here, Zoe and Tod awaken in a luminous afterworld, guided through realms of color, memory, and spirit where thoughts shape reality and love becomes the compass.
Together, these stories explore how the past never fully fades, the future can reach back, and the present is often a crossroads of hidden wonder. At the heart of each tale is the resilience of love—and its power to move through time.
