Acerca de este audiolibro

On Tobar, magic is dying, and the living Stones are magic. One by one, they are ceasing to exist. Something is causing their magic to die, and not even the wisest of the Stones know why. Jaida, a young Stone, tries to understand what is happening to her people. They have lived on Tobar for centuries. Once, their magic was powerful, but now it is failing. Thus begins an epic tale of two remarkable women and the magical Stone that guides them.

Jaida reaches out to the only other source of magic on her world, the short-lived people who inhabit the surface of Tobar. Her first attempt to contact these people goes horribly wrong. The men do not understand her voice and destroy many of the Stones.

Jaida discovers that not all people possess magic, and they are killing their people with the gift. Soon they will destroy all magic on Tobar, even the Stones.

She finds Llari, a young girl with powerful magic who can hear Jaida’s voice. But can Jaida trust her? The elder Stones say no. Jaida has no other choice. They must work together to save magic.

Acerca del autor

Teresa Howard makes her home in Hoover, Al, where she shares her abode with Gracie Jane, her furry dachshund friend. She is a life-long fan of science fiction and fantasy, and her dream since childhood has been to see her books in libraries and bookstores.

In 2000, Teresa participated in a Writers' Workshop taught by the late Ann Crispin and has been a regular at DragonCon’s Writers Track led by Nancy Knight for many years.

Though she was employed for many years as a technology coordinator and computer lab instructor in the Birmingham School System, Teresa’s passions remained writing science fiction and fantasy and researching genealogy. Many of her stories have elements of both. Her work covers a wide range of speculative fiction and has been published in magazines, anthologies, webzines, and on iPhone aps in the U.S., Canada, and the U.K.
