Macroeconomics takes a broad perspective on the economy of a country or region; it studies economic changes in the aggregate, collecting data on production, unemployment, inflation, consumption, investment, trade, and other aspects of national and international economic life. Policymakers depend on macroeconomists' knowledge when making decisions about such issues as taxes and the public budget, monetary and exchange rate policies, and trade policies—all of which, in turn, affect decisions made by individuals and businesses. Felipe B. Larrain is professor of economics at Catholic University of Chile, was director of the Latin American Center of Economics and Social Policies (CLAPES UC), and is currently finance minister of Chile, a post he also held from 2010 to 2014. He has published thirteen books and more than 120 scholarly articles.
Gary Tiedemann is a Florida and New York-based narrator, but learned how to act in Chicago's improv, sketch-comedy, and theater scene. He came to audiobook narration after voicing countless commercials and videos over a twenty-year voice-over career.
