I enjoyed this book with the combination of the Pack of different species working together to hunt The Ghost, as well as the romance that develops and the fantasy back story. I wish there was more hunting action in this book but it kind of drops off, we don't see it again after that, just Caly preparing herself for revenge. It's quite a light and uplifting book to read, sometimes too sugary sweet, sometimes needed a bit more editing of repeated perspective narrative, but it also has those laugh out loud funny moments too which makes the book a joy. The narrator did a brilliant job at bringing this book to life. I'm looking forward to the next book in this series.

My audio review...... I’ve read this book and loved it. It’s basically about a young woman finding out that the supernatural are alive and kicking behind a “barrier” She meets a yummy man in a dream, chats and kisses him in these dreams. But someone is watching her that isn’t a friend. Blake is an alpha wolf and leads a pack of paranormal beings. Fascinated with Caly, he wants to protect her for the rest of her life. It’s a fast paced book, it’s a long book and I did wonder how this would translate into an audio book. The narrator had a voice that felt liked velvet rubbing over my skin. I could listen to his voice all day. He gave me shivers and noughts thoughts😉 especially in the love scenes. Words were pronounced clearly, a few inflections in the different POVs that were through the book. Pitched perfectly, Jarman conveys the tension, the passion and the heartbreak this book throws at you. Be prepared to be swept away. I do prefer the book, but I have to admit, the audio is a very close second.

I wasn’t sure at first if I was going to enjoy this book because it seemed to be taking so long at the start of the book but I understand now the author was laying the ground work. Despite feeling it was taking too long I never felt at any time I should give up because this story was interesting. The more I read the more interesting it got. I honestly enjoyed this book from start to finish and I’m looking forward to reading the next instalment. It’s got me intrigued. I hope the next book show’s how Caly evolves as well as telling Rykers story. I received this book from BookSirens. I’ve read the audiobook and I’d definitely recommend it. Good narration, voices are easy to listen to and don’t put you to sleep.
