About this audiobook

She plays it safe. He’s a loner. When they both deny their instant chemistry, will this city girl and bush pilot realize they’re meant to be?

California. Elle Blessing has painted herself into a corner. Desperate to maintain her veneer of success, the twenty-something influencer feels trapped in her miserable job and mostly platonic relationship. And when she reluctantly joins her fiancé on a trip to Alaska, she can’t decide if their hunky guide is annoyingly grumpy or drop-dead gorgeous.

Maverick "Mac" Carter believes he’s destined to die single. So after picking up a couple heading to his sister’s lodge, he’s surprised when his stomach does a flip flop at the sight of the blue-eyed cutie accompanying her betrothed. But with her already engaged, he’s almost relieved to discover she’s utterly exasperating.

Horrified when her intended runs off to be one with nature, Elle demands the rugged but maddening man make things right. While Mac is aghast to learn the feisty female won’t leave his home until he finds and fixes her nutty boyfriend.

As proximity leads to a softening of hearts, will these unexpected soulmates find true love?

A Darling Aviator is the charming second book in the Darling Men Alaskan small-town romance series. If you like grouchy but big-hearted heroes, cozy communities, and wholesome humor, you’ll adore this duet narration happily ever after.

What a pleasant surprise! I didn’t know what to expect since Lark Holiday is a new-to-me author, the narrators were unfamiliar, and it’s the second book in a series. So why did I choose the audiobook? Small-town Alaska. Yes, that’s all it takes to get my attention. Throw in some favorite tropes like opposites attract, forced proximity, a grumpy hero, food talk, a cute dog, and a pinch of magic, and it’s no wonder I liked the story. I enjoyed the romance, the narrators, and the experience.

This is a good story about Elle and Mac. It is the second story in the "Darling Men" series. Elle, hates flying, but is on a trip to Alaska with her fiancé. Her fiancé decides to break their engagement and journey into the Alaskan wilderness. She storms into Mac's life demanding his help. Their journey is emotional, interesting and intriguing. I listened to the audio book and thought the narrations was nicely down.

The male and female narrators did a brilliant job of bringing the story to life. They had pleasant voices and were enjoyable to listen to. The male narrator was able to capture Mac’s gruffness with his deep baritone one moment. The female narrator brought out the timidity, stress, and confusion shared by Elle. The audio quality was exceptional. The narrators’ voice quality and character distinction, pacing and rhythm, and emotional delivery were all on point.
