About this audiobook

Corinna Chapman likes the quiet life: good food, good company and her daily work as a baker. She doesn't really want mystery and intrigue in her life. Unfortunately for her, she doesn't have much choice. Corinna's apartment building seems to be a magnet for mystery and mayhem and, with her new lover Daniel a private investigator, Corinna seems destined to be involved in solving these mysteries. This second book in the series sees a prankster spiking the chocolates at the nearby Heavenly Pleasures chocolate store (is it an elaborate and horrible joke, or a warning of worse to come?), an attempt to blow up the apartment block, and strange new residents moving in.

About the author

Kerry Greenwood (1954–2025) was a lawyer and the bestselling Australian author of more than fifty novels, a book of short stories, six non-fiction works, and the editor of two collections of crime writing. Her beloved Phryne Fisher series became a successful ABC TV series, Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries, which sold around the world, and later inspired the spin-off series Ms Fisher's Modern Murder Mysteries. She was also the author of the contemporary crime series featuring Corinna Chapman, baker and reluctant investigator. In addition, Kerry wass the author of several books for young adults and the Delphic Women series. Alongside her writing, for many years Greenwood continued to advocate in magistrates' courts for the Legal Aid Commission and, in the 2020 Australia Day Honours, was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for services to literature. She never married nor had children, but lived for many years with an accredited wizard.

Louise Siversen has had roles in Australia's most respected television shows such as The Secret Life of Us, MDA, Stingers, Prisoner and Janus, for which she received a Silver Logie nomination for Most Outstanding Actress.
