About this audiobook

The final novel of the Kilo-Five Trilogy by #1 New York Times bestselling author Karen Traviss—part of the expanded universe based on the award-winning video game series Halo!

2553. With the thirty-year-long Covenant War finally over, the Office of Naval Intelligence faces old grievances rising again to threaten Earth. Angry and bitter colonists—still wanting to settle scores from an insurrection put on hold for three decades—crave justice…as does a man whose life was torn apart by ONI when his young daughter was abducted for the SPARTAN-II program. Black-ops squad Kilo-Five now find its collective loyalty tested beyond the breaking point when the father of their Spartan comrade, still searching for the truth about her disappearance, prepares to glass Earth’s cities to get an answer. How far will Kilo-Five go to stop him? And will he be able to live with the truth when he finds it? The painful answer lies with someone long dead, and a conscience that still survives in the most unlikely, undiscovered place…

Origin of the alphabet; number line, computer is the same place. There isn't a calendar without a programmer; different ones in society are for companies to supply basic utilities; motor vehicles, food clothes & shelter. Computer programs give the answers to outstanding questions; humans do not. They also drive all artificial moving objects; humans do not. One program designs all the building and a different one does cars; the program includes after they are built schedules for them and us. Cameras are a derivative of computer separate from video recorder for unreal pictures and photograph obstructing justice to disappear or vanish includes video tapes & DVD's.

This is my favorite Halo book by far. The opening of the book immediately hooked me. Karen Traviss's ability to write a subtle sad, throat tightening story without forcing it at all is the best I've ever seen. Glasslands and The Thursday war were both great, but Mortal Dictata is my favorite due to humanizing the spartands and the story with Staffan, an amazing father made victim after his daughter was kidnapped. I really recommend everyone read the kilo 5 trilogy. I also really hope to see and read more stories about kilo 5 Also too many halo books are narrated by Scott Brick when he has horrible voice acting. BUT the kilo 5 trilogy is narrated by Euan Morton, and he is a million times better. Euan has an amazing ability to voice out and make each and every character unique.

A throughly good book, with great humor wh8le telling a compelling story. I throughly recommend this book and the one preceeding it. Together they tell a good story about two Spartans, and those around them trying to help. Osman, Naomi, and Vas were my favorite characters. Though Mao and Phillips get honorable mentions. All of the characters are well put together, with their own drives and motives. Especially their morals. Happy reading.
