While still in his twenties, John Purcell opened a second-hand bookshop – imaginatively called 'John's Bookshop' – in which he sat for ten years reading, ranting and writing. Since then he has written (under a pseudonym) a series of successful novels and, as part of his previous role as Director of Books at Booktopia, interviewed hundreds of writers about their work. John has also appeared at literary festivals and on TV, and been featured in prominent newspapers and magazines.
Alice Barrington established her love of story touring pantomime classics to remote Western Australian communities as a teen. She has since featured in a myriad of theatre productions across the country, including works by the Sydney Theatre Company, and has starred alongside some of Australia’s greats in small screen favourites, including All Saints and Offspring. Alice is a diverse and dynamic voice artist with a wealth of experience in commercial, corporate and live voice performance.
