About the author

Nick Butterworth is the author of many internationally acclaimed children’s books including ‘Jingle Bells’, ‘QPootle5’, ‘Tiger’ and ‘The Whisperer’ which won the Gold Award at the Nestle Book Awards. He is best known for his stories about Percy the Park Keeper. Nick has also presented children’s stories on television, created a cartoon strip for The Sunday Express Magazine and worked for major graphic design consultancies. He has two grown-up children, and lives with his wife in Suffolk.

Judith Kerr was born in Berlin, but left Germany with her family in 1933 to escape the rising Nazi party. They settled in England, where she later met her husband, the celebrated screenwriter Nigel Kneale, with whom she has two children: she wrote The Tiger Who Came to Tea for them. She followed it with the Mog the Forgetful Cat series and many other celebrated stories, as well as her semi-autobiographical story, When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit. In 2012, Judithw as awarded an OBE for her services to children’s literature and holocaust education, and in 2019 she was named Illustrator of the Year at the British Book Awards. Judith died in 2019, and her much-loved stories continue to delight children all over the world.

David Walliams is a literary phenomenon whose books have sold more than sixty million copies worldwide and have been translated into fifty-five languages.

Rob is the award-winning creator of MANY bestselling books, and is owned by Ringo, the spaniel. They live in a house in London with their family, and Rob has been barking up the RIGHT tree for a while now – his picture books have won many prizes and are loved by children all over the world. Dawn O'Porter is a broadcaster, novelist and print journalist who lives in Los Angeles with her husband Chris, cat Lilu and dog Potato.
