关于此有声读物

Jack Benny's on-location remote broadcasts always carried an edge of spontaneity. Each performance included plenty of references to a host city's local places, customs and dignitaries, which always brought vigorous cheers. Over the years, he made regular trips to both Palm Springs and New York - to raise money for charitable causes, and to spar with radio rival Fred Allen. During World War II, Benny and his gang made barnstorming broadcast tours, criss-crossing the country to perform at military bases and veteran's hospitals. Their specially written gags, poking fun at GI bureaucracy and the foibles of officers, met with the wild approval of the predominantly-enlisted crowds. Join Jack and guests Gary Cooper, Fred Allen, and William Powell, along with series regulars Mary Livingstone, Phil Harris, Dennis Day, Eddie Anderson, Mel Blanc, the Sportsmen, and Don Wilson as they hit the road in these 20 digitally remastered and restored episodes. EPISODES INCLUDE: From NBC Studios in San Francisco 04-26-42; From Camp Elliot in San Diego 11-01-42; From New York 12-13-42; From Fort Devens in Massachusetts 12-20-42; From Vanderbilt Theatre in New York 12-27-42; From Bangor Opera House in Maine 01-03-43; From Quantico Marine Base in Virginia 01-31-43; From New York 02-07-43; From Toronto, Canada 02-14-43; From March Field in California 02-13-44; From Corona Naval Hospital in California 11-19-44; From Astor Hotel in New York 01-14-45; From St. Joseph, Missouri 02-18-45; From Fitzsimmons Hospital in Colorado 02-25-45; From Torney Hospital in Palm Springs 04-08-45; From Santa Barbara 10-14-45; From Chicago Theatre in Illinois 05-11-47; From New York 02-05-50; From Palm Springs 02-11-51; From American Legion Hall in Palm Springs 02-08-53.
