Caught in the crossfire is Inez's friend, photographer Susan Carothers. An explosion that nearly killed Susan has killed another—or could it have been murder? It's up to Inez to investigate.

Ann Parker, a science writer by day, is the author of the Silver Rush historical mystery series, the first book of which, Silver Lies, was the winner of the Willa Cather Award for Historical Fiction and the Colorado Gold Award for Best Mystery. She is a member of Mystery Writers of America and of Women Writing the West and resides with her family in the San Francisco Bay area.
Kirsten Potter is an award-winning audiobook narrator who has performed on stage, film, and television. Having graduated from Boston University's School for the Arts, she has received recognition from the American Academy of Achievement and the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts.
