Masterminded by veteran Australian journalist, Peter Charley, the elaborate sting saw Australian businessman Rodger Muller go undercover as the head of a fake Australian pro-gun advocacy group. In How to Sell a Massacre, Peter Charley gives an inside account of the sting, drawing on more than 40 years’ reporting to explore how journalism has changed, and to make sense of why it was necessary to set a trap and catch the truth. Charley draws on previously unreleased transcripts of covertly recorded meetings between the NRA and One Nation to give graphic details of the undercover operation. This true story contains deadly truth at its heart: that an Australian political party would seek foreign money in a bid to seize power and destroy the gun laws that keep Australians safe.

Peter Charley is a multi-award-winning journalist, documentary film maker and best-selling author with more than forty years’ experience in public and commercial media outlets around the world. Born in Australia, Peter has worked throughout Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Central and South America, the United States, Canada, the UK, Europe and the Pacific. He has led a number of high-profile investigative documentaries and is the recipient of more than twenty international awards, including seven Gold World Medals at the New York Film Festivals.

Warwick is a WAAPA graduate. His theatre credits include South Pacific, The Pirates of Penzance, The Dead Man Brake (STC) and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. TV credits include Home & Away, All Saints, Packed to the Rafters, Devil’s Dust, The Pacific (US) and Comedy Cuts (UK). Warwick has also written and performed with award-winning comedy duo Allsopp & Henderson at venues including the Sydney Opera House, the Edinburgh Fringe and London’s Soho Theatre.
