Juliet Marillier graduated from the University of Otago with degrees in languages and music. Juliet now writes full-time. She is the author of the Blackthorn & Grim novels and the Sevenwaters series. Her historical fantasy novels and short stories are published internationally and have won a number of awards.

Ruth Urquhart trained at East 15 Acting School and has spent the last twenty years working as an actor in theater, film, TV, and education. Ruth is an Audible Approved Producer and has narrated over thirty titles. She lives in Yorkshire, England, with her partner, two children, and an array of animals.
