In a suspenseful yet humorous manner, Nikki shared honest, moving stories that brought light to lesbian love. She was featured in Milwaukee Magazine and Swerv Magazine, among others, and participated in the GayNeighbor.org campaign, which helped promote awareness and visibility of LGBT families throughout Southeastern Wisconsin. Nikki shared her coming out story on The Oprah Winfrey Show in 2004.

He was named the Blackboard Publisher of the Year in 2005 and owns a chain of bookstores called Urban Knowledge. A graduate of Virginia State University, he lives on Long Island with his family.
