Brenda Hampton is a native St. Louisian, with a gift and passion for writing. She maintained journals for several years, but it wasn’t until she read Terry McMillan’s Disappearing Acts that Hampton was prompted to explore writing in ways she never thought were possible.
Rose Jackson-Beavers is a public speaker who represents new women that can and will do whatever it takes to inspire, encourage, and train. With more than twenty years of experience as a director and trainer, and ten years as a published writer, Ms. Beavers has presented at several major conferences, education institutions, and trade programs. She is also owner of Prioritybooks Publications. She has written for several publications, including the Spanish Lake Work Newspaper, North County Journal, and the East St. Louis Monitor. She also served as a columnist for AMAgazine.
Carl Weber is a New York Times bestselling novelist and the founder of the publishing company Urban Books. His works include The First Lady, So You Call Yourself a Man, The Preacher’s Son, Married Men, and the bestseller She Ain’t the One, which was cowritten with Mary B. Morrison. He was named the Blackboard Publisher of the Year in 2005 and owns a chain of bookstores called Urban Knowledge. A graduate of Virginia State University, he lives on Long Island with his family.
