When I first imagined the story of Forbidden Love, I wanted to create a narrative that reflected the real, raw experiences of young people who are struggling with identity, love, and the fear of not being accepted for who they are. This story is not just about Eli and Noah finding love; it’s about the journey they take to overcome the obstacles life throws at them. It’s about fear and courage, pain and resilience, heartbreak and hope.
We live in a world where, for many, expressing their true self still feels like a risk. For Eli and Noah, the burden of keeping their love a secret weighs them down, and the fear of rejection looms large. But what I wanted to convey through their story is the transformative power of love—not just romantic love, but self-love, acceptance from family, and the support of a community that stands by you.
