Fiona McIntosh is an internationally bestselling author of novels for adults and children. She has sold well beyond a million books around the world in a variety of genres ranging from adult fantasy to children’s novels. However she is best known for her lush, bestselling historical adventures and for her tense crime series featuring Jack Hawksworth. McIntosh was formerly a travel columnist and co-founded an award-winning travel magazine with her husband, which they ran for 15 years before she became a full-time author. She now roams the world researching and drawing inspiration for her novels. Although South Australia is now home, her best writing is done from the peace of Tasmania.
Madeleine trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. Born and raised in Bristol, she is a dual national of British/French extraction. In the Theatre Madeleine has played the roles of Ophelia in Hamlet, Christina Mundy in Dancing at Lughnasa and Pamina in The Night Queen. Madeleine appeared in BBCTV’s The Best of Men, and during her training was a nominee for the Carlton Hobbs Radio competition.
