In the village of Greeth-Under-Edge, magical creatures are wreaking havoc. A green-toothed hag lurks in the river, a nest of gnomes are up to no good and a scatter of salamanders threaten to set everything on fire.
Creirwy and Morfran are the children of a powerful enchantress, who’s been sent to banish the creatures from the village by brewing an almost impossible potion. But when their mother breaks the Code of Magic, it’s left to the twins to try to finish her task.
To complete the potion, they’ll need to go on an adventure with dangers at every turn. But as Creirwy and Morfran journey through a moon fairy forest, into a hag’s watery lair and to the top of a giant’s beanstalk, they find that the most powerful magic is not always where you’d expect...

Beth O’Brien is an English Literature BA and Creative Writing MA graduate from the University of Birmingham. She is also the author of four adult poetry books. Having been born visually impaired and with an upper-limb difference, Beth is passionate about the representation of disability in literature and is currently studying for a PhD researching the (mis)representation of disability in contemporary fairytale retellings. She is the founder and editor of Disabled Tales, a website dedicated to discussing disability in fairytales and folklore.
