Bestselling, award-winning author Betty Bolté is known for authentic and accurately researched American historical fiction with heart and supernatural romance novels. She's been published in essays, newspaper and magazine articles, and nonfiction books but now enjoys crafting entertaining and informative fiction. She earned a Master's Degree in English in 2008, emphasizing the study of literature and storytelling, and has judged numerous writing contests for both fiction and nonfiction. A graduate of Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, Saoirse has taught with Georgia Ensemble Theatre, Georgia Shakespeare, Forefront Arts, and several other metro-area performing arts organizations. With extensive training and experience in dance and choreography, voice for the actor, and Shakespearean studies, she is uniquely equipped to teach a wide range of subjects and ages. As a professional actor, she has had the privilege of performing in the Alliance Theatre's world premiere of Ghost Brothers of Darkland County. Other stage highlights include touring productions of Metamorphoses and Romeo and Juliet (Georgia Shakespeare), James and the Giant Peach (Georgia Ensemble Theatre), and starring as Hamlet in an all-female production of Hamlet (The Fern Theatre). As a voiceover artist, Saoirse often provides video narration and has recorded dozens of audiobooks. Saoirse is thrilled to be a teaching artist with the Alliance Theatre.
