Emma Carroll has worked as an English teacher, a news reporter, an avocado picker, the person who punches holes into filofax paper and is now a bestselling and award-winning British children's author. Carroll has won and been nominated for numerous awards, including the Books Are My Bag Readers' Award, the Branford Boase Award, the CILIP Carnegie Medal and others. Carroll is the author of the highly acclaimed Frost Hollow Hall, which won the North East Book Award, and The Girl Who Walked on Air, which was nominated for the Carnegie Medal. Her title The Somerset Tsunami was selected by indie booksellers as their Book of the Month and was The Times Children's Book of the Week.

Rosie Akerman is an actor and voiceover artist from London, England. A graduate of the Academy of Live & Recorded Arts (ALRA), Rosie trained extensively in both classical and recorded media, including screen, radio and video game performance. With a sharp ear for accents and a passion for storytelling, she has voiced hundreds of projects—from 3-word ads to 150,000-word audiobooks. Some of her screen work includes This Is Going To Hurt (BBC), Call the Midwife (BBC) & Dumbo (Disney).
