This was an enjoyable diversion for a couple of hours. The story is infused with a small town sensibility and revolves around a character that has lost his wife under mysterious circumstances. There is suspicion and tension among the various town folk when more women disappear and I found most of the characters interesting. The ending was not at all a surprise for me, but I also read a lot of books so I may not be the average person.
