Running and hiding is looked upon as a way out for the weak. It is something Omar never thought he would do. As a child, he didn’t even play hide-and-seek for that very reason. Unfortunately, after being sentenced to death by his cousin, Demarcus, Omar was left with no choice.
Moving to Detroit wasn’t as bad as he thought it would be. It didn’t take long for him to reign supreme. The change of location didn’t change his conniving and coldhearted ways, however. The sheltered mama’s boy has turned into a man. But suddenly, the bodies start piling up and Demarcus goes from being the most loved man in the city of Memphis to being the number one suspect in every case that crosses the homicide unit’s desk.
Demarcus’past is back to haunt him with a vengeance. But what happens when the true murderer is someone he already knows to be dead?

Raynesha Pittman is a prime example of the saying “What we come from does not dictate what we will go on to be.” An honors student and certified as gifted, she was in a Los Angeles juvenile corrections center when she discovered her love for writing. Her first novel, Kismet, was published in 2010. Pittman has since published several more books. She was nominated in the Hip Hop in the Ville Awards for Best Indie Author of the Year in January 2012 and was also nominated in the Prodigy Publishing Group’s second annual Urban Literary Awards for Most Likely to Succeed Debut Author of the Year in February 2012. In 2015 she was nominated for Journalist of the Year in the Southern Entertainment Awards.
Kim Johnson graduated from Syracuse University with a degree in journalism. Kim has had many incarnations, including digital marketing and editorial, but found her true calling reading books. She resides in New York City.
